The biggest problem with my Model 3 is...Tesla.

They can’t keep track of troubleshooting or case information on my car. So it’s like starting over again, every time I contact them. There seems to be a problem with their internal tracking systems.

Above is a message I received an hour after the service center closed tonight . For the car I picked up last Friday. After they didn’t fix it ( again.)

This is really getting old.

I know, #FirstWorldProblems. Thanks for letting me share my pain.

Tesla: “H ey you know how much dealers suck? We’re gonna bypass them and work directly with you! It’ll be great!”

Customer: “But you’re disorganized, you take forever to service my car, and you don’t even fix it right. Even though you only work with your cars! How is this better?”

Tesla: “Oh, silly customer. We weren’t saying it’ll be better for *you*, we meant it’ll be  better for our profit margin.”

Thank you. I’m literally listening to Tesla hold music right now, waiting to ask customer service to push the latest firmware update.

Because there is no way to do it online or in the app.

I would not have believed it if I didn’t hear it myself. Spent 20 minutes on hold (which is the shortest hold time I’ve had with Tesla) so they could tell me that the latest firmware was installed on Friday night.

Except, others have newer versions, I’m just not in that wave, apparently, and won’t get it until later.

Don’t be sad, but a used Leaf/500e/Bolt/i3 and a sweet ICE-mobile and still save  thousands.

My mom texted me all excited the other day because my little brother had talked her into thinking she should test drive a Tesla. I reminded her that she isn’t even able to hit the correct button to answer her cell phone half the time. She went back to looking at 6-8  year old luxury sedans on Craigslist.
